On June 10th, Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) recommended that AMT, 5-MeO-DALT and other tryptamines be added to the list of prohibited substances. The Council justified its decision by drawing a relationship between tryptamines and some of the existing Class A drugs. ACT has been frequently compared to LSD, but until now it wasn’t illegal under UK laws.
ACMD also recommended a ban of AH-7921, powerful synthetic opiate that has been linked to several high profile deaths in the United Kingdom over the past 12 months. The effects of AH-7921 are similar to those of morphine, with around 80% of its potency when ingested orally.
